Jan Kaplicky (Czech Republic, 1937/2009) led the innovative design office, Future Systems, in London (UK) from 1979 till his death. The office is responsible for only a few, although iconic, works like the Selfridges Building in Birmingham (England, 2003).



Josep Lluís Mateo (Spain, 1949)

Since 1991 he has been leading an office in Barcelona (Spain), MAP Architects. His philosophy is to connect the activity of construction with research and development.



Kengo Kuma (Japan, 1954)

A japanase architect who is looking for an architecture which can blend and become one with nature.



Makoto Sei Watanabe (Japan, 1952)

He founded the Makoto Sei Watanabe / Architect´s Office in 1984 where he began his awarded work that studies time and space.



Mutsuro Sasaki (Japan, 1946)

A pioneering Japanese structural engineer, Sasaki has helped shape contemporary Japanese architecture.
