Coque MD

DESCRIPTION

Designed for all types of building, the Coques MD shells underscore an architecture in which the façade is part and parcel of the expression of volume, with its flatness, curves and sequences.

Manufactured to measure from a defined client specification, the Coques MD system is perfectly suited to architectural invention.


APPLICATION

The MD shells are made of pre-lacquered galvanized steel, stainless steel or aluminium fixed by their vertical edges then blocked in place using brackets. The MD shells are designed for flat facades from 3 to 30mm maximum horizontal and vertical indented joints.

The fastening system is characterized by the fact that the fastenings are not visible in case of vertical joints (minimum 3mm) or in case of vertical indented joint from 15 to 30mm.

MD shells must be used in accordance with the specifications and requirements of the Professional Rules for the manufacture and installation of Metallic Cladding.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

NOTA: This product is made in accordance with the "Règles professionnelles pour la fabrication et la mise en œuvre des bardages métalliques" and can be used for type XIII or XIV walls.


MANUFACTURING PROGRAM

1) Steel:
-  Galvanized in accordance with P 34-310 - grade S 320 GD+ Z225. Thickness: 1 and 2mm. Pre-lacquered coating HD 25, THD 35, PVDF 35, DURANAR XL, in accordance with P 34-301. Post-lacquered by powdering POLYESTER in accordance with  P 24-351.

- Stainless steel grade X5 Cr Ni 18-10 or X5 Cr Ni Mo 17-12-2 in accordance with NF EN 10088-2. Mat, brushed or gloss finish (Please contact PMA for further details). Thickness : 1,5 and 2mm.

- Enamelled Solfer EME in accordance with EN 10.209 (steel) and NF A 92-060 (enamelled). Thickness: 1,5 and 2mm.

2) Aluminium:
-  Pre-lacquered grade 3005 H44, 3103 H44 in accordance with NF A 50-452. Pre-lacquered POLYESTER 25µm, PVDF 25µm or DURANAR XL in accordance with NF P 34-601. Thickness 1,5 and 2mm.
-  Post-lacquered, grade 1050 H24 or 5005 H24 in accordance with NF A 50-451. Thickness 2 and 3 mm. Post-lacquered by powdering POLYESTER only (thickness Mini. 60µm) in accordance with NF P 24-351.

NOTA: The sheet thickness are defined in accordance with the dimensions of the shells and the technical requirements.

3) Colors:
Contact us for feasibility:
- Pre-lacquered steel: COLORISSIME color chart or NOVOLAC.
- Powder-coated post-lacquered steel: RAL color chart.
- Enamelled steel: RAL color chart.
- Pre-lacquered aluminium: ALCAN color chart.
- Post-lacquered aluminium: RAL color chart.

Nota: In a context of aggressive atmosphere or particular environment we hold at your disposal a questionnaire of environment preliminary to any study.

4) Options:
- MD shells in copper, half-hard and hard. Rough aspect, pre-patina. KME color chart, upon PMA advices with a  validation after testing. Thickness 1,5 and 2mm.
- MD shells in zinc, unpolished, pre-patina, pre-lacquered. Vieille Montagne color chart , upon PMA advices with a validation after testing. Thickness 1,5 and 2mm.
- In case of particular aesthetic stress,  a reingorcement can be sticked on the back view of the MD shells (extruded polystyrene, polypropylene honeycomb or rock-wool) together with a galvanized steel sheet (thickness 0,5mm) for a better flatness.

5) Particularities:
Pre-lacquered steel, post-lacquered steel, Pre-lacquered aluminium, stainless steel and copper: silicone in the interior of the angles. Post-lacquered aluminium: silicone in the interior of the angles.

6) Specific Rail:
These are made of 2 mm extruded aluminium grade 6060 T5 (in accordance with NF A 50-411). The sliding hangers are made in aluminium alloy 6060 T5 extruded thickness 2 mm for the main part and with an axis Ø 10 mm in aluminium alloy 6060 T5 with a Rilsan Ø10x12 tube.

REACTION TO FIRE GRADING

MD shells (without reinforcement) is made with or without pre-lacquered sheet  may be used wherever the grading M0 is required.

FASTENINGS AND SUBFRAME

Fastenings are invisible. The lateral parts of the rail are fixed onto the fastening lugs TG 3mm using hex head bolts (diameter of 6) and rivets in accordance with the "Conditions générales de conception et de mise en œuvre de l´ossature métallique et de l´isolation thermique des bardages rapportés".
